Ellie Jane Goulding was born in Hereford England on December 30 1986. Tracey Goulding Summers was her mother and Arthur Goulding belonged to a family of undertakers. Goulding's older sister Isabel, and second sister Jordan are children. Alex is her brother. Alex Goulding's older brother performs bass. He is also a Hereford musician. At the age of a young girl her mother encouraged her to become a musician. When she reached the age of nine old, she began to learn the clarinet.
